2002 年获得中国科学院研究生院博士学位, 2004 年在挪威科技大学从事博士后研究。中国化学会和中国微米纳米技术学会会员。安徽省纳米材料及应用工程技术研究中心主任,安徽省纳米材料与技术重点实验室副主任,中科院固体所学术委员会委员,中国科技大学科学岛分院学位评定委员会委员。中国科学技术大学教授,安徽大学兼职教授等。

主持和参加相关纳米材料研究的国家重点基础研究发展计划(973计划) 项目、国家重点基金项目、国家自然科学基金面上项目、中科院先导 (A类)、中科院科研装备研制项目、安徽省重点研发与开发项目等各类项目共12项。长期从事纳米材料与纳米结构的研究,重点发展功能纳米材料合成新方法的探索,研究其在环境与能源领域的应用中的基础物理和化学问题。近年来在Advanced Materials, Applied Catalysis B, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Nano Energy, Chemical Communications和ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces等杂志发表学术论文200余篇,论文引用8000余次,获授权发明专利30多项,H-index为52等。
