The Institute of Solid State Physics (http://www.issp.cas.cn/), Chinese Academy of Sciences invites applications for faculty positions at all ranks in the area of Experimental Condensed Matter Physics to fill the openings in the existing electromagnetic probe and spectroscopic probe departments of a newly established Center for Energy Matter in Extreme Environments (CEMEE). CEMEE focuses on the energy research of quantum matter at extreme conditions with the emphasis on studies under high pressure and high magnetic field. A successful applicant at the tenure track (Assistant Professor) level is expected to have at least two years postdoctoral experience in the field and must have demonstrated the potential to conduct a vigorous and significant research program.  Applicants at the tenured level (Associate or Full Professor) are in addition, expected to have a demonstrated record of accomplishment and leadership as evidenced by the establishment of an ongoing externally funded research program. CEMEE also invites applications for the department leaders whose interests match with the center’s mission.
